However, we seldom realize that we should strive to prevent such complaints from being expressed in the bitter way that they are. There are actually many things you can do about the situation, and about the work load in front of you. Yet you choose to neglect your duty, and complain. Many of you should already know this quote by Robert Conklin, "It's not the situation. It's your reaction to the situation." The situation is that you are juniors and your amount of work is increasing. Your reaction is to start complaining before actually trying to do something about it. What I'm saying here is that your reaction to the given situation is not legitimate. The flat out truth is that everyone in this room, procrastinates. When we fuss over our own inadequacies, we are denying those hard-working people of their efforts. It DOES take diligence in order to succeed, yet everyone expects to be great without effort. So much to do, so little time; but thats rather ironic seeing how people end up finishing their projects the day before they're due. This happens regardless of how much time is given. If a student is given a week to finish a project, and another two, one may expect the later to have much more time on their hands. But in reality the time these two people will get on with their projects and finish them, would be on the same day; the day before its due. So its easy to say that no one has the right to complain.
Maybe no one has realized, but people always have time for the things they enjoy doing. If you have a passion for a certain something, its not that you don't have other things to do, its just that you MAKE time for it. I'm sure everyone here has stopped or postponed homework for a hobby or simply something that you find more enjoyable than doing homework. For some of you it may be facebook, for others perhaps its dancing or singing. Whatever the case may be you are making time out of your busy schedule that you claim to be filled with homework, to do what you want. So on a daily basis if we have the time to do these tedious activities, we certainly have the time to do the work required as students. Therefore, before you start opening your mouth to a complaint, try harder. Can any of these people here truly say that they have always done their best, that they have given their all before complaining? You may say the amount of work that teachers give is unreasonable but only those that have put in 100% have the right to say anything about it.

Because we always regard it with detest, we become more reluctant to actually finishing the tasks. Aren't you tired of fussing over your life and constantly complaining? Block E. It's Your Reaction
Every word spoken, leaves our mouths as a complaint. Whenever we strike up a conversation, it always seems to revolve around how much work we have due the next day. Perhaps its because our very existence is dictated by our lives at school, but the extent to which students complain, is almost foolish. If you break it down, we have the time, just not the skills to use it efficiently. Everyone procrastinates, some more than others, but procrastination either way. The result would be, each and every one of you; the source of all the gripe. But if you have the time to complain about something, then you have the time to do something about it (Anthony J. D'Angelo). So either change your perspective or try something, anything, before you go on one of your rants about how much your life sucks.
We often, sometimes too often, run into the habit of postponing our work until the day its due. With this, the amount of work that needs to be done is constantly increasing. And this reoccurring pattern of receiving work, putting it off, and adding to our work load, drives us crazy. As we struggle to finish work that has piled up the last week, we regret. Due date extensions don't necessarily make a difference, because a student with one, and another with two days to complete a project, will both still end up procrastinating. And although we ourselves realize that we don't have the right to complain, we go ahead and do it anyway. Despite knowing this at the back of our heads, some people end up condemning the teachers for their own incompetence. I say, if you don't like something, you should strive to change it. If you can't change it, then maybe you should change your attitude. Whatever the case may be, don't complain.
Everyone here most likely pursues a hobby of some kind, and this becomes another reason you are unqualified to complain about time constraints and school work. The thing with us humans is that no matter how busy our lives may be, we always find a way to do the things we enjoy. If we don't have time, we simply make time. Just as people excel and focus on subjects they have a passion for, they do that with other activities as well. This is a matter of one's priorities. Because we enjoy certain leisure activities, we find priority in them. Some may say school is their prime concern, but is it really? So the couple facebook status updates, and the few msn conversations, are all part of what you're required to do? If you're running out of time to do your homework, it would be best to set aside some pastimes instead of trying to balance everything.
One anonymous person works feverishly during lunch every single day without fail to finish the remaining bits of her homework. But this is not an uncommon sight at school. In fact, I'm sure many of you sitting here have done just that, one or more times. Time management is always emphasized throughout one's high school years. Yet, why is it that so many people fail to do so? It's because they have already gotten into the habit of taking care of business without planning ahead. This is why at times, its more important to unlearn before you learn alternatives. We must get the conception of scheduling time that has become a practice, out of our systems so that we can effectively learn to manage time. Then the ceaseless complaints about procrastination or time constraints would die down.
If you realize these flaws, you must work to resolve your incompetence before pestering others with complaints they couldn't care less about. And for those of you that still cannot identify with my argument, I have three words for you: get, over, it. I'm serious, stop feeling sorry for yourself. You are not the only one suffering, and you most definitely are not making the situation any better. No one wants to listen to the story of your life and how you haven't gotten anything done this week. It is not the situation, but your reaction to the situation (Robert Conklin).
